International Yoga Day - June 21 - “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.

Happy Yoga Day! Through the practise of yoga, may you discover calm, vigour, and happiness.

International Day of Yoga 2023: June 21 is designated as International Yoga Day each year. It is a day set aside to promote yoga's holistic approach to health and wellbeing and to raise awareness of the many advantages of practising it.India is the country where yoga first appeared, and it has since spread around the world as a result of its numerous physical, psychological, and spiritual advantages.

The United Nations, which declared International Yoga Day as a recognised holiday in 2014, will choose the 2023 celebration's topic. Every year, the subject emphasises a different facet of yoga that demonstrates its applicability and influence on society. The subject for International Yoga Day 2023 this year is "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which perfectly encapsulates our shared desire for "One Earth, One Family, and One Future."

In honour of the ninth year of International Yoga Day and as part of my regular routine following my morning walk, I engaged in Prānāyāma (Sanskrit: प्राणायाम) , a yoga practise that focuses on the breath.
