In 2024, I traveled to the National University of Singapore to personally gift my self-published work to their world-class library system. This mission was fueled by my belief in Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) and the desire to support students and researchers with practical career insights. Experience the story of how "Career Boost" found its home on the shelves of one of Asia's most prestigious institutions.

It was a warm day in March 2024 when I found myself standing before the impressive architecture of the National University of Singapore (NUS). I wasn’t there as a student or a tourist, but as an author on a mission. Tucked under my arm were two of my self-published books and a standard gift application I had carefully downloaded from the NUS website.
For me, being an author is about more than just ink on paper; it’s about Individual Social Responsibility (ISR). It’s the belief that we all have a part to play in sharing knowledge to empower the next generation.
Accompanied by a supportive relative, I made my way to the Central Library. After securing permission, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Z, a senior librarian in collection management. I presented my books and my objective: to contribute to the academic landscape of this world-class institution.
What struck me immediately was the rigorous and systematic procedure the library follows. Ms. Z and her colleague, Mr. H, walked me through their strict policies for accepting the non-fiction genre and preserving gifts. Beyond their professionalism, what touched me most was the respect they accorded to me. Throughout our exchange and subsequent emails, they addressed me with the "Dr." prefix—a gesture of high esteem for my work that truly resonated with me, even though I don’t hold a PhD.
Before leaving, I wandered through the library’s vast aisles and stopped by the NUS souvenir store to pick up a few keepsakes to remember the day.
The story didn't end there. Life got busy, and I missed the chance to blog about it at the time. However, a friend recently reached out to ask about the status of my work at NUS. I dove back into my records and was thrilled to find that my book, "Career Boost: 9 Certification Advantages," has been officially cataloged!
You can find the official library record here: https://linc.nus.edu.sg/record=b4676324
Today, "Career Boost" sits on the shelves of the NUS Central Library, ready to assist students, researchers, and teaching staff in their professional journeys.
A Call to Action:
If you are part of the NUS community, I invite you to explore this resource and share your thoughts! But the impact of a book goes beyond the library walls. I encourage you to consider owning a physical copy for your collection—not just as a manual, but as a legacy of knowledge for yourself and the generations to follow.
