I learned the true value of dedication and memory when I recently completed a world record attempt of 100 stories in 31 days titled "Memoir Blogthon". I am sharing my gratitude for receiving the Indian Legacy Award. I believe this journey has been just as much about healing myself as it has been about writing. This is my heartfelt farewell to a life-changing 2025.

The Last Chapter of 2025: A Legacy Remembered:
People often say that when we reach the end of a long, arduous journey, the silence that follows is often the most telling. On December 30, 2025, I was in my home office in Hyderabad, India, looking at the number "100" at the top of my last blog post. I finished a 31-day marathon on December 7. It was an attempt to set a world record to honor my father's 100th birthday in November 2025. My mind was full of memories of my childhood, his strict but loving lessons, and the quiet dignity of his last chapters. I sat there wondering if these digital ink strokes had truly captured his spirit.
It was in this moment of quiet reflection that I received a notification that felt like a final, positive sign from the universe.
A big step forward in both my career and my life:
I am thrilled to announce that I have received the "Indian Legacy Award" as a "Memoir Blogthon Storyteller." The Welred Foundation sent me the news in the form of a digital certificate and a touching cover letter. While the physical trophy and medal are expected to arrive in due course, the weight of the recognition is already felt.
My experience has taught me to trust the right hands with something so personal. I feel that seeing my "Outstanding Contribution" acknowledged by a structured, government-recognized body provides a sense of closure that is difficult to put into words.
My thoughts on the selection process:
I think that picking a place to get recognition is just as important as the work itself. As a qualified Company Secretary who has worked with company law for about 40 years, I may be more aware than most of what goes on "behind the scenes" in a business. I understand the importance and duty of promoters, and I had a lot of faith in the Welred Foundation, which is ISO 9001-2015 certified. They are a registered NGO that was set up according to the Companies Act and is recognized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India), which is the highest public policy think tank of the Government of India.
Honesty and openness: Knowing how the organization worked made me feel better. In my experience, the package to cover administrative costs was very fair, especially compared to the way some commercial organizations operate.
The Power of Customization: I really liked their online application. I could add my own category, which I think is very important for one-of-a-kind projects. I chose "Memoir Blogthon Storyteller" because I think it shows off my writing skills and my commitment to honoring my father.
Attention to Detail: The way the information was preprocessed was great. They did not just want my name; they wanted details about my profession, my talent, and a profile picture to make sure the certificate was really personal.
Clear communication: I feel that the pre-question-cum-clarification responses from the organizers were excellent. It was nice to see how professional they were the whole time.
My advice on how stories can help you heal:
I believe that telling stories is one of the few ways we can really "beat" time. Writing these 100 stories was a way for me to walk with my father again and make sure that his memories would last forever. I feel very peaceful knowing that his hundredth birthday was not just a date on a calendar but also a living, breathing record of his spirit.
Being recognized as an Author, Content Reviewer, Coach, and Corporate Consultant in this way is a reminder that our work lives and our personal lives are two sides of the same coin. Both need discipline, honesty, and the ability to show up every day.
### I would like to hear what you think
As this is the final post of 2025, I want to make sure that these 100 stories stay alive in the best way possible. I have been thinking about how to turn these digital memories into something permanent that you can hold in your hands.
Poll:
Which format do you feel would be the most meaningful way to read and keep these 100 stories?
0%1. A Kindle book on Amazon (For reading on your devices)
0%2. An ebook (a digital file that is easy to keep forever)
0%3. A paperback (a book that you can keep on your shelf)
0%4. A coffee table book with pictures (large, high-quality)
You can vote for more than one answer.
Personally, I feel that any printed material might be the best way to honor a centenary legacy, but I respect your opinion. In addition to your choice, please leave a comment at the end of this blog.
