[MemoirBlogthon#42] The climax of my ambitious single-day schedule was a talk at the Vijayawada Book Festival on "Career Choices." I connected with the 500 people in the audience by telling them about my history with the PWD ground we were standing on while wearing a suit and tie. This memoir culminates with my father’s high praise for my meticulous planning: "It all resembles the schedule of a busy bureaucrat." This comment confirmed that my strategic communication and organizational skills were my ultimate professional assets.

I chose to stand up and speak like a professional.
Stepping onto the stage, I chose to maintain a professional image, addressing the audience clad in a suit and tie, giving the impression of a serious bureaucrat or executive. My introduction was impressive, and when my turn came, I chose to speak in a mixture of Telugu and English.
I began by establishing an immediate connection: I narrated my childhood story of playing cricket on the very PWD ground where the book fair was being held. I reminded them that the venue was the ground where I had once listened to national leaders, presidents, and prime ministers of India speak. Declaring myself a "product of Vijayawada" and a professional company secretary received "large applause."
I then focused on the specifics of the CS course, emphasizing why and how it should be chosen. The audience mobbed me as I exited the stage, with many young people asking for my visiting card.
The Bureaucrat's Schedule
This open show was witnessed by an old friend of my father’s, who immediately called my father to report on the size of the crowd and their positive reaction.
When I finally arrived home late that evening, exhausted but triumphant, my father offered the ultimate praise for my entire day’s orchestration:
"This shows your brilliant ideas and meticulous planning to hold three events one after the other. It all resembles the schedule of a busy bureaucrat. Keep it up."My father's quote became the lasting legacy of that single, strategic day. It validated the deeper "why"—that success is not just about the message but also about the meticulous planning and strategic professionalism required to deliver it. I had executed a schedule worthy of a high-ranking government official, proving that my focus on organizational excellence had paid off.
